Plays & Productions

Constable Productions makes theatre for the Macedon Ranges and beyond. From professional productions featuring some of Australia's finest actors to community-driven work where anyone can take the stage, every production is built around the same belief: that great stories, told well, belong to everyone.

Our inaugural season of The Appleton Ladies' Potato Race sold over 1,500 seats and is now heading to Showcase Victoria, a significant step toward a statewide regional tour in 2027. It's an exciting moment, and there's plenty more to come.

Welcome to Constable Productions, a creative home for theatre and performance in Woodend, the Macedon Ranges, and beyond.

Founded by actor, director, and teacher Mark Constable, our mission is to create opportunities for people of all backgrounds to engage with the performing arts—whether stepping onto the stage for the first time, rekindling a long-lost passion, or staying connected to theatre in an inclusive, welcoming space.

ACTING CLASSES

Mark's acting classes run each term at St Andrews Uniting Church in Woodend, and are open to absolutely everyone. Whether you're a seasoned performer keeping your craft sharp, someone who's always wondered what it would feel like to step on stage, or anything in between, there's a place for you here.

Classes are practical, supportive and genuinely fun. Expect to work hard, laugh a lot, and leave feeling more confident than when you walked in.
